OSCO'S FLEET FUELING
The cost effective way to get your trucks on the road

WE DID IT!!
After numerous trips to Springfield, HB3478 is now law. Now, you can utilize, worry free, the cost saving service that companies have enjoyed for over 30 years.

With the help of the Illinois Transportation Association as well as many other Associations and Organizations, and companies like yourself, we were able to pass HB3478. The Bill was signed by Governor Ryan and became law on 01/01/01. The new law allows for the direct fueling of trucks while they are parked at your facility. This allows you to realize substantial saving by reducing costly, unproductive overtime that is spent refueling your trucks and not making deliveries to your customers.

You will benefit from direct fueling if one or more of the following apply to your company:

Driver shortage - For every 30 trucks that are filled on site, you will need to find one less driver to make delivery. OSCO can help utilize the drivers they have.

Out of route miles - Some companies have to drive 5 miles or more to get to a facility that carries diesel fuel or that can accommodate a large truck. OSCO can save you tens of thousands of dollars in unnecessary fuel consumption.

Long lines at pumps - With fueling times between 5 and 15 minutes per truck, with just 3 trucks in front of it, on truck could take up to an hour to get fuel. With truck operating cost at $50, $60 or more per hour, the savings are substantial.

Lost or missing receipts - Trying to get and balance receipts from different locations can be a daunting task. OSCO provides daily information for each truck.

Environmental liability - Storing fuel on site has the potential for costly cleanup fees. Drivers filling up at the end of a long day have been known to create large spills. OSCO uses professionally trained drivers who's sole responsibility is to fill the running tanks on your trucks.

Hours of service - Keeping drivers under 60 hours can sometimes be difficult. The proposed hours of service laws could be even harder to meet. OSCO can increase your available hours.

Up-time utilization - Using OSCO allows you to utilize your resources to service your customers, not sitting at a fuel pump.

It's simply, really. With OSCO fueling your fleet, both your operating costs and your administrative costs head down. Your operation is more professional, more easily managed and your drivers spend their time driving.

OSCO has forty years of experience meeting the fuel needs of the transportation industry. We not only understand the problems associated with running cost effective fleet-fuel operation, we know how to solve them.

OSCO'S fleet fueling program is a proven way to reduce your fueling costs. First, your drivers spend their time driving for you, not waiting to be fueled or fueling themselves (easily fifteen minutes a truck an often on overtime). Second, you don't pay for fuel in inventory when your not using it. Fuel sitting unused in storage tanks doesn't make money, it costs money. Third, all the unproductive time spent distributing fuel, keeping records, supervising yard personnel an insuring availability of fuel and fueling equipment is removed from your administrative load. If you give your current fueling system a hard look, you could find that 20% - 30% of your expense is buried in your logistics system.
